Did You Know some states have Idling Laws
The law applies to commercial diesel vehicles which are designed to operate on highways and to locations where commercial diesel vehicles load and unload. The law restricts vehicles to idle for a period no greater than 30 minutes while waiting to load or unload. Also no owner or operator of a vehicle shall cause or permit vehicles covered by this rule to idle for more than 5 minutes in any 60 minute period except for conditions exempted from this rule.
This law is currently being enforced in 15 states and dozen of local jurisdictions. Contact our office to learn more about it.
